When the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hits the track at the Phoenix International Raceway this weekend there will be a new Sprint Cup team that will join them. That team is a team called XXXtreme Motorsport

XXXtreme Motorsports is a team based out of Mooresville, North Carolina and they are housed in the shop that was last occupied by TRG Motorsports

The team has hired two time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winner David Reutimann as their driver for this weekend at Phoenix. Reutimann has run 20 races this season for Tommy Baldwin Racing. He also ran two races for BK Racing and one race at Phoenix Racing. Reutimann's best finish came in the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Raceway in July when he finished 11th. Previously he spent five seasons running for Michael Waltrip Racing, bringing the organization its first two wins.

The team has also hired a crew chief in Frankie Kerr. Kerr has 150 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races under his belt as crew chief. He spent the better part of three seasons as crew chief of JTG Daugherty Racing's #47 Toyota. The team replaced Kerr at the at end of the season when Todd Barrier was hired to replace him. Kerr spent most of this season as shop foreman at the organization.

Kerr and Reuitmann worked together in 2007 at Michael Waltrip Racing when the team ran 32 of 36 races that season.

The team will run a Chevrolet this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway and will use car number 44. XXXtreme Motorsport ran three races in the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. The team's president according to their website is John Cohen.
