Current Richard Childress Racing driver Joey Coulter has signed to drive elsewhere for the 2013 season. Elsewhere is at Kyle Busch Motorsports running one of his Toyota Tundra's for the entire 2013 season.
The 22-year old Miami Springs, Florida native won his first race this season at Pocono Raceway in August. Coulter's year has been a good one as he currently sits fifth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings. This season Coulter has recorded six top five finishes, 13 top ten finishes and three poles. Among the eyes Coulter has opened this season, Kyle Busch has been one of them.
"With the addition of Joey Coulter to KBM's Truck Series program for the 2013 season we have accomplished our goal of having a talented young driver competing full-time for a driver's championship," owner Kyle Busch said. "Joey has been running up front, competing for wins this year and we feel like he is ready to have a breakout year. With the personnel we have in place at KBM and the support we receive from Toyota, we're going to do everything possible to make sure that he is in a position to bring home a championship next season ."
Coulter also ran one Nationwide race this season at Charlotte where he finished tenth in May. No word on who will replace Coulter at RCR.Tags: Joey Coulter, Kyle Busch, Kyle Busch Motorsports, Motorsports, NASCAR, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Richard Childress Racing
