Bobby Labonte Resigns with JTG-Daugherty Racing for 2013 Season

JTG-Daugherty Racing announced they have resigned Bobby Labonte to a one year deal to drive their Toyota's for the 2013 season.

It's been a successful second half of the season for the #47 JTG-Daugherty Racing team and it's driver Bobby Labonte. Before the August Brickyard 400, the team made a crew chief change, hiring Brian Burns, since then it's been a good year for the team and Labonte has felt the improvement.

"We are continuing to make strides," Labonte said. "We've come a long way. We have some momentum on our side going into Homestead and the off season. We hope to close out the year and give Clorox and all of our partners a strong finish." ."

The team also hired Bobby Hutchins as General Manager around the same time and the team has turned the corner. Labonte is entering his third season with the organization, he has had one top five and four top tens in two seasons. His best finish is fourth in the 2010 Daytona 500.

Labonte has 21 career NASCAR Cup victories to his resume, the last one coming in the 2003 Ford 400 at Homestead.
