JD Motorsports and owner Johnny Davis have confirmed that they are committed to running two full-time entires in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2013. Mike Wallace will return to pilot the No. 01 Chevrolet Camaro while the diver or drivers of the No. 4 car have not been announced yet.
The 53-year old Wallace will drive in his fourth straight full season for JD Motorsports. In 2010 he finished 18th in the Nationwide Series standings, in 2011 he was 13th and this past season he finished 12th. His No. 01 team is still looking for a crew chief as well.
"We are committed to run the 2013 season with our two teams," said Johnny Davis. "We have done a lot of planning, bought some cars in the latter part of last year and have been improving on our motor program here and there."
Daytona will mark the 475th start for Davis as an owner. The No. 01 team finished 19th in owners points in 2012 and the No. 4 team was 25th. Both cars are looking for more sponsorship to help support their 2013 efforts.Tags: Chevrolet Camaro, JD Motorsports, Johnny Davis, Mike Wallace, Motorsports, NASCAR, NASCAR Nationwide Series, Nationwide Series
