Turner Motorsports announced that James Buescher will defend his 2012 Camping World Truck Series Championship by again running the full schedule. If he can successfully defend his title he would be the first back-to-back champion in Truck Series history.
In addition to announcing that he will stay in the trucks full time, Buescher also will have a new sponsor with him. Rheem Manufacturing Company has signed a three-year contract with Turner Motorsports and Buescher.
“I had opportunities to go to other teams, opportunities to move up to Nationwide with Turner Motorsports, but between the fact we wanted to win back-to-back championships and the way sponsorship fell into place this is the best fit for me and my career,” Buescher said.
Buescher won four times in the 2012 season on his way to becoming the second youngest Camping World Truck Series champion ever at 22-years old. He also won the season opening Nationwide Series race for Turner Motorsports in 2012.
