AF Corse and Michael Waltrip Racing will jointly field a Ferrari in the GT class for the 51st running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 26th and 27th and Clint Bowyer will be one of the four drivers in the car.
Michael Waltrip will also drive the car. Bowyer, finished second in the Sprint Cup Series points last season in his first season with Michael Waltrip Racing in the No. 15 car. Co-owner of Michael Waltrip Racing, Rob Kauffman, and Rui Aguas, a veteran road racer, will round out the driver foursome for AF Waltrip.
It will be Bowyer's first attempt at driving the Rolex 24.
“I’m not really sure what I got myself into,” Bowyer said with a laugh. “Rob asked me to race and I said I would do it. Everyone has told me how much fun this race is. So, I’m ready. Running 24 hours is a long time, but we will give it our best shot.”
Brian Vickers and Travis Pastrana previously have raced with AF Waltrip before.
