On Wednesday Turner Scott Motorsports announced that Jeb Burton will drive the No. 4 Arrowhead Chevrolet Silverado in the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Arrowhead is a disposable electronic cigarette made by parent company Sequoyah Brands.
The 20-year old Burton is the son of Daytona 500 champion Ward Burton and the nephew of 21-time Sprint Cup Series winner Jeff Burton. He will be competing in his first full NASCAR season and will be running for the SUNOCO Rookie of the Year honors.
"I am so thankful to have the opportunity to represent Arrowhead in 2013," said Burton. "We all have high expectations for the 2013 season, including capturing the Rookie of the Year title and competing for wins in NCWTS.”
Last season Burton competed in five races in Mike Hillman's No. 27 truck and he scored one top 10 finish, an eighth at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He also competed in three Rev-Oil Pro Cup Series races in 2012 and scored a win at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia. He also finish in the top 10 in his other two starts.
"We are confident in Turner Scott Motorsports and in Jeb's ability on the track. We know that Jeb will represent Arrowhead with class and continue the Burton family tradition of excellence in racing," said Kathy Farley, president of Sequoyah Brands.
Burton will join last season's Truck Series champion James Buescher and Miguel Paludo at Turner Scott Motorsports to fill out TSM's three-driver lineup. The 2013 season gets underway with the running of the NEXTERA Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 22nd.Tags: Camping World Truck Series, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, James Buescher, Jeb Burton, Jeff Burton, Kathy Farley, Miguel Paludo, mike hillman, Motor Mile Speedway, Motorsports, NASCAR, Sequoyah Brands, Turner Scott Motorsports, Ward Burton
