NASCAR Nationwide Series veteran Eric McClure has re-signed with Tri-Star Motorsports for the 2013 season the team announced Wednesday. Hefty will sponsor the #14 in all 33 races the Nationwide Series will run in 2013.
McClure, who made his first NNS career start in 2003 will make his 200th career Series start at the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
McClure ran in 28 of the 33 events in the 2012 season after a horrific accident at Talladega caused the 34 year old to miss five races in the year. McClure will be back and ready for action as he takes to the track in a Tri-Star Motorsports Toyota.
Veteran crew chief Wes Ward will be back as crew chief of the #14 Toyota. Ward is a 14 year veteran in the NASCAR garage as a crew chief. In 229 starts as a crew chief Ward has one career NASCAR Nationwide Series victory, which came in 2003 with driver Kasey Kahne at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
