For the third straight season Todd Peck will compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on a part-time basis. He will race for the family-owned and operated Peck Motorsports team and drive the No. 96 Arthritis Foundation Chevrolet.
The team plans to run at least five Truck races in 2013 with more races being a possibility if more sponsorship opportunities can be found. The only race scheduled right now for the team is the fourth race of the season for the Camping World Truck Series at Kansas Speedway on April 20th. From there the team plans to pick the remaining races they will run.
The Arthritis Foundation will partner with the team for the third straight season. Peck was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis as a teenager as still suffers from the disease. The sponsorship of the truck is a collaboration to bring awareness and raise money for those who suffer from arthritis. Peck who is from Glenville, Pennsylvania turns 27 on January 29th.
In 2010 Peck ran three Truck races for the team with a best finish of 27th at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Last year Peck competed in two races. He failed to qualify for the first Iowa Speedway race and then finished 28th at Iowa the second time around in the family truck. He also failed to qualify for the Martinsville race in the fall before competing in the No. 08 SS Green Light Racing truck with sponsorship from the Arthritis Foundation at Phoenix where he finished a career best 18th.Tags: Arthritis Foundation, Camping World Truck Series, Indianapolis Raceway Park, Iowa Speedway, juvenile arthritis, kansas speedway, Motorsports, NASCAR, Peck Motorsports, Todd Peck
