There are rumors swirling around the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rumor mill that German Quiroga could be driving for Red Horse Racing in 2013. There are only 12 days left until the season opening race at Daytona on Friday, February 22 for the deal to come together if it will be a full-time effort.
Quiroga has six career Truck Series starts to his name. He started four races for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the No. 51 Truck with sponsorship from NET 10 Wireless in 2012. His best finish was eighth at Talladega in October. In 2011 Quiroga ran two races for KBM in the No. 51 with sponsorship from Telcel.
He is a native of Mexico City, Mexico and his one Nationwide Series start came in 2007 at the road course in Mexico City driving for Jay Robinson in the No. 28. He is a three-time Toyota Series champion.
The rumor is that the 32-year old could be driving the No. 77 Toyota for Red Horse Racing as a teammate to Timothy Peters in the No. 17 and John Wes Townley in the No. 7. Last season the other Red Horse Racing truck was driven by Todd Bodine and the number of the truck was 11. Rick Gay who was the crew chief for that effort is no longer with the team.
If an official announcement is made on Quiroga's plans Motorsports 101 will have the story for you.
